Vision on Sustainable Refining and Terminalling.
For nearly 100 years, Curaçao has been connected to oil refining. There were many memorable periods. A significant share of the Aviation Gasoline for the Allies was made in the Shell owned and operated Curaçao Refinery for instance, leading to a successful conclusion of World War II. It brought great economic benefits to the island, wiping out all unemployment until the 60's.

Curaçao can draw Energy Investor Interest.
By now there seems to be available an ample body of public knowledge indicating that at least four of the attributes that are required for the accumulation of oil and/or gas may be present under the seafloor of the Curacao maritime area. The first of these elements is called “source rock”. Source rocks can only form where sediments have been deposited.
